Prepared and educated parents can make better (and more informed) choices and decisions about their international adoption and exercise more control in the process. In most cases, international adoption is generally more structured than domestic adoption. Prospective parents can also take comfort in knowing available children overseas are legally free for adoption (with an extremely low risk of birth parents contesting custody). The goal of International Adoption Resources (IAR) is to provide orphans in our global community with a brighter future by connecting them to prospective adoptive parent(s) empowered with informational and financial resources. IAR is not an adoption agency, but we work closely with US based international adoption agencies. IAR supports adoptive parents interested in providing homes to international orphaned children. |
